Territorial Analysis Tool for Irrigated Agriculture

The “Irrigation Tool” was a demand from the then Ministry of Integration (MI), designed to automate consultations to support the monitoring of irrigated and irrigable territories in Brazil. The query tool aims to synthesize concepts, methodologies and databases in a platform for easy operation and visualization of results in a specialized way (maps and graphs).

It comprises a multi-criteria analysis module, which includes characterization of irrigated agriculture, rural characterization and territorial classes; a module for the analysis of resources applied in irrigated agriculture (rural credit); and a comparative analysis module, which assesses the coincidence or divergence between the areas with the greatest demand for resources and the areas of effective application of resources in irrigated agriculture.
