Territorial planning and land governance

ordena.png

Many of the challenges faced in rural areas - such as urbanization, real estate speculation, food, water and energy insecurity, land conflicts, illegal deforestation, etc. – have dimensions clearly related to land governance: unequal access to land, legal insecurity in their tenure, unsustainable use, exploitation outside the limits of the law, fragility or poor preparation of institutions that work with territorial governance and resolution of disputes. conflicts, among others. Conventional technical approaches to land administration are limited to addressing these multidimensional issues. The GPP uses a set of geotechnologies and territorial analysis methods to generate strategic information that helps legislators and decision makers in the geographic prioritization of actions, as well as in the projection of their positive or negative externalities.
