​Low carbon agrosilvopastoral production and other solutions based on nature and rural production

(2020) As part of an ECLAC project entitled “Coordination, Coherence and Effectiveness for the Implementation of the Environmental Dimension of the 2030 Agenda in Latin America and the Caribbean”, the GPP prepared, in 2020, a study on alternatives and trade-offs for development sustainable rural development in LAC, in which he pointed out more sustainable solutions ​​that can be adopted by countries, stimulating their economies, reducing environmental impacts and reducing their social inequalities._cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

The study included a comprehensive review of the problems related to the current agri-food system, its trends, risks and opportunities. The scenarios found were discussed with several intellectuals, managers and technicians, who reflected on the paths that brought us to the present moment and prospectively analyzed the main points and outputs to try to prevent decisions about the future of the agrifood system from bringing irreversible impacts in terms of environmental and social.
